    Caret Browsing in Internet Explorer 9

    Rather than using a mouse to select text and move around within a webpage, you can use standard navigation keys on your keyboard like Home, End, Page Up, Page Down, the arrow keys and text entry field on most webpages. This feature is called Caret Browsing and is named after the caret-or cursor-that appears when you edit a document.

    To turn Caret Browsing on or off
    1. Click to open Internet Explorer.
    2. Click the Tools button , point to File, and then click Caret Browsing.
    3. Click Yes to turn it on, or No to turn it off.


    To turn on Caret Browsing for all new windows and tabs
    1. Click to open Internet Explorer.
    2. Click the Tools button , and then click Internet options.
    3. Click the Advanced tab.
    4. Under Accessibility, select the Enable Caret Browsing for new windows and tabs check box, and then click OK.


    Tip 1: You can press the F7 key to quickly access Caret Browsing.
    Tip 2: You can use combinational key Shift + arrow keys to select specific texts
